What it is

What if the greatest question facing Christianity is not which denomination is correct—but who has the authority to determine what Scripture means?

Christianity speaks with thousands of voices. Roman Catholicism, Orthodoxy, Protestantism, Baptists, Methodists, Pentecostals, Adventists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Messianic Judaism, Hebrew Roots movements, Oneness Pentecostals, restoration movements, and countless independent churches all appeal to Scripture—yet reach profoundly different conclusions about Elohim, Yahshua, Torah, salvation, the Sabbath, the Holy Spirit, death, resurrection, Israel, worship, and the authority of the Church.

They cannot all be correct.

But by what standard should their competing claims be judged?

Apostolic Orthodoxy: To the Law and to the Testimony approaches that question as a forensic investigation.

Rather than beginning with the authority of a church, council, creed, denomination, theologian, or religious tradition, Michael Antonio Jeter establishes a Court of Scripture and asks each claimant to stand before the witnesses from whom Christianity itself claims authority.

The governing order is deliberate:

Yah → Torah → Moses and the Prophets → Yahshua → the Apostles

The principle comes directly from Scripture:

“To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” — Isaiah 8:20

Under this method, later theology cannot redefine the earlier witnesses whose testimony is being used to authenticate it. History may provide evidence. Tradition may testify. Councils may explain what Christians later believed. But none can acquire jurisdiction over the revelation they claim to interpret.

The investigation therefore asks difficult questions.

Did Yahshua and the apostles abolish Torah—or have later interpretations required them to contradict the revelation that preceded them?

Does Scripture identify Yahshua as Yah Himself, or as Yah’s promised Messiah, Son, servant, and appointed King?

Does the biblical testimony establish the Holy Spirit as a coequal divine person—or does Scripture’s language of heavenly emissaries, ministering spirits, agency, and delegated authority provide another explanation?

Who changed the Sabbath? What became of Yah’s appointed times? Are human beings inherently immortal, or is resurrection the Scriptural hope?

What happens when spiritual experience, ecclesiastical authority, inherited tradition, or theological consensus conflicts with the governing testimony?

And perhaps most importantly: Can a religious movement preserve substantial truth and still fail the test of apostolic orthodoxy?

Across thirty-nine chapters, major historical and modern claimants are called before the Court. Their strongest doctrines are acknowledged rather than caricatured. Their historical claims are examined. Their agreements with Scripture remain in evidence. But contradictions are not excused merely because other portions of their theology are correct.

The standard is demanding:

Apostolic orthodoxy is not established by percentage. The whole claim must survive.

The investigation eventually reaches the author’s own Sinaitic apologetic tradition—and the standard does not change. If the methodology is legitimate, it must judge the investigator as rigorously as everyone else.

This is therefore not merely a book about denominations.

It is an examination of authority, interpretation, context, continuity, and the jurisdiction of revelation itself.

Readers are not asked to accept the author as the final authority. They are invited to examine the evidence, challenge the arguments, return disputed doctrines to their Scriptural context, and ask the question governing the entire proceeding.
