Dead Ringers: Series 17 Plus Christmas Specials

The complete Series 17 of the award-winning BBC Radio 4 impressions show - plus two Christmas special episodes.

Dead Ringers returns with more sharp, topical comedy in these eight shows, featuring all six episodes from Series 17 as well as the two 2017 Christmas specials. Impressions and caricatures are the charming courtiers of explosively satirical truth bombs as Jon Culshaw, Jan Ravens, Lewis MacLeod, Debra Stephenson and Duncan Wisbey take on the worlds of politics and entertainment.

There's some postelection skewering for Theresa May, Jeremy Corbyn and Tim Farron; 'Arlene from Belfast' calls Moneybox Live for advice about her sudden windfall; and gossipy 'Govey' leaves backstabbing answerphone messages for Nicola Sturgeon and Leanne Wood. Plus, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer receives a late-night phone call; Hilary Mantel joins Gardeners' Question Time; and David Sedaris and Alan Bennett have a biscuit-off....

The two Christmas editions feature HM The Queen, Dame Joan Bakewell and 'Brexit Bulldog' David Davis as well as taking a look at how Britain's media would cope if Donald Trump pushed the button.
