Freedom from Just Right but Never Enough

Masses of believers are carrying a yoke Jesus never placed on their shoulders. It's called Christian Perfectionism—a subtle doctrine of performance and anxious pressure that distorts grace, hinders love, fuels shame and turns faith into an exhausting campaign to be "just right" before God. And it's everywhere: quietly infecting sermons, teaching, parenting, prayer life and the way believers talk to themselves all the time.

You relentlessly seek to get everything right. Yet you still feel like it's never enough.

You find yourself caught in the same exhausting cycle of trying harder, falling short, feeling anxious and ashamed, but trying harder again, until faith feels less like freedom and more like a performance review you can never pass.

In this honest and healing book, Mark DeJesus exposes Christian Perfectionism as a virus that hijacks faith and convinces you that God's love and empowerment must be earned–where your standing before Him must be constantly fixed. Drawing on decades of pastoral experience, he names what so many Christians struggle with but aren’t able to identify.
