I Came to Marry the Highlander and Fell for His Sister

I came to Scotland to marry a Highlander. Then I kissed his sister.

I'm Cecily Hartwell, thirty, practical, and perfectly happy to negotiate a marriage the way I negotiate cattle prices. Ewan MacRath is handsome, honorable, and offering me exactly what I want: a Highland home, a profitable trade alliance, and the freedom to keep my own money.

Then I meet Elspeth.

Ewan's red-haired, sharp-tongued sister runs half the estate, helped write the letters that brought me here, and has a truly wicked habit of looking at my mouth.

One kiss later, I've called off the wedding. Several locked doors later, I'm in far too deep to pretend it was a mistake.

Our attraction is immediate. Our nights are scandalous. Our timing couldn't be worse.

My broken engagement threatens the credit that keeps Dunbrae's trade afloat. Then a flood washes out the cattle road days before the annual sale, putting her family's future in danger. Now Elspeth and I must get a herd to market while everyone at the castle remembers exactly whom I was supposed to marry.

She won't let me sacrifice her brother for love. I won't marry him to balance the books. And neither of us is prepared to give up the other.

In 1787 Scotland, two women can save an estate together. But can they claim a future together when society refuses to imagine one?

A maximum-heat sapphic historical romantic comedy with bold heroines, castle chaos, frequent open-door passion, and a hard-won F/F happily ever after.
