The Power of Hope

Sometimes life just isn't what we thought it would be. Whether it is the loss of a job, an unexpected diagnosis, a wayward child, the death of a dream, or the chaos all around us, life can be challenging, even painful. The Bible speaks of this as “hope deferred,” telling us it “makes the heart sick” (Proverbs 13: 12). This emotional heart disease can be as debilitating as physical heart disorders. Indeed, hope deferred has the power to shut down our lives, destroying our ability to face the future with faith and confidence.

This common cold of the soul—no one makes it through life without experiencing hope deferred to one degree or another—can rob us of our dreams and destroy the seeds of destiny. Life is sterile without hope. But God wants to enter our hopeless scenarios and invade our hope-deferred world, curing us of this demoralizing ailment. He desires to heal our hearts, restore our faith, and unlock our dreaming nature. You can move into a place of hope, motivation, and accomplishment! Experience the power of hope!
