Transmentation | Transformation

From bestselling authors Darkly Lem comes the shocking conclusion to their wildly original, genre-bending Formation Saga.

One world wants to control them all. One world fights desperately for its freedom. And all the Many Worlds are caught between.

The Council that rules Burel Hird begins a bold new plan: send armies to occupy unaffiliated worlds, evict foreign travelers from other advanced societies, and enslave those left behind. It’s all “for their own good.” Trystèsté is one of the only officials who openly opposes these barbaric actions, even as it puts her own position at risk. Meanwhile, Malculm Bysotič, a former intelligence officer, searches for a way to undo the harm he’s unintentionally set in motion.

On the other side, Paër and his small team of operatives jump from world to world to world, rescuing Withered Stem travelers and their families from Burel Hird’s cruelties. Frustration grows, however, as they come to realize they’re doing too little, too late. In desperation, Paër seeks forbidden knowledge that will allow his people to fight back against the overwhelming size and power of Burel Hird.

Relentlessly paced, endlessly inventive, and bursting with unforgettable characters, Transmentation | Transformation and Darkly Lem set the new high standard for the multiversal epic.
