Unearthed

Two millennia ago, Will Egan was a heartbeat away from becoming a mage when his world ended in blood and anguish. Now, awakened by an archaeological expedition, he discovers he's a man out of time, in a world that has forgotten the language of creation.

Countess Catherine Trist is a woman used to getting her way, yet she is held back by a patriarchy that sees her as nothing more than a political prize. When her dig uncovers a living relic of the past, she realizes the stories of her childhood are real, and the spark of magic she has always carried is ready to be fanned into a flame.

Will and Catherine must race against time to recover the five tomes of magic, ancient artifacts that could give them the power to finally topple the threat that destroyed the world Will knew and restore an age of wonder. As they navigate a landscape of scheming dukes, ancient brotherhoods, and an insidious system that wants to keep tabs on every aspect of their lives, they come to learn that some secrets should remain buried… but some should be unearthed.
